Cleveland Rotary Engineering has over 40 years experience in the repair and refurbishment of process centrifuges of many types. From small high-speed stainless steel to large 5 ton, 5 feet diameter mineral centrifuges. Our on-going expansion includes a brand new purpose built repair facility. This enables us to offer the following wide range of services under one roof.
We have been involved over a long period of time with the regular overhaul of several 5 feet diameter centrifuges weighing 4½ tonnes each. These are used in mineral processing and are subject to high wear.
Over the years we have improved these machines and they are now running twice as long between major overhauls. The scroll flights used to require extensive rebuilding but due to improved tile materials they now rarely wear. Different bonding techniques have been employed which means a greater resistance to impacts from foreign objects resulting in less missing tiles. The bowl flanges were worn down to the boltholes after normal operational periods, needing new metalwork and extensive re-machining. We now coat these with a very effective wear resistant coating that is easily applied or repaired. This means expensive lathe work is now rarely required.
